Simrad Marine Electronics has introduced a navigation aid feature for its recreational HALO radars and B&G radar systems. The system automatically overlays channel markers and special markers directly onto the radar display by combining radar data with C-MAP premium charting information.
The feature helps operators distinguish between moving vessels, navigational hazards, and fixed markers within a single interface. Users can enable or disable the overlay through the vessels and targets menu on compatible display units.
- Compatible displays: Simrad NSX, NSX ULTRAWIDE, NSS 4, NSO 4 and B&G Zeus S, Zeus S ULTRAWIDE, Zeus SR, Zeus SRX
- Software requirement: NEON OS 2.6 software release, available in Q4 2026
- Chart requirement: C-MAP DISCOVER X or REVEAL X charts
- Control settings: Managed through the vessels and targets menu
