Williams Grand Prix Technologies: Enters marine sector with ES10M scalable battery system

Williams Grand Prix Technologies has entered the marine sector with the ES10M, its first dedicated marine battery system for superyachts, support and explorer vessels, hybrid propulsion applications and refit programmes. The modular, scalable architecture supports multi-bank installations on yachts over 100 m LOA and single-rack installations from 50 m LOA, with applications extending to tenders, chase boats and support craft.

The ES10M uses physics-informed machine learning for predictive control, remote monitoring and diagnostics, and individual battery string isolation. Its layered safety architecture limits cell-to-cell propagation and includes an integrated gas management system for controlled venting. The system is designed to maritime-grade EMI/EMC standards and carries IP67 ingress protection at module level.

  • Module-level gravimetric energy density: 200 Wh/kg
  • Module-level volumetric energy density: 325 Wh/l
  • Module capacity: 9.8 kWh at 50.4 V
  • Module weight: 48.8 kg
  • System scalable energy: 39 kWh to 4.2 MWh
  • System voltage range: 201.6 V to 907.2 V
  • IP67 at module level
  • Designed to maritime-grade EMI/EMC standards
  • Lloyd’s Register class compliance in progress
