Polish yacht builder Lamdo Yachts and Chinese electric propulsion system manufacturer ExploMar have established a strategic partnership to accelerate the electrification of luxury motor yachts. The collaboration combines Lamdo’s yacht building expertise and naval architecture from Tony Castro Yacht Design with ExploMar’s integrated powertrain technology. The joint effort has already delivered its first tangible result: the fully electric eLY30+ trawler, which recently secured the Gdynia POLBOAT Award 2026 in the “Special Boats” category following its debut at the POLBOAT Yachting Festival.
Designed primarily for inland waterways and environmentally sensitive regions, the eLY30+ offers flexible power configurations ranging from ExploMar’s WAVE 70+ to the flagship WAVE 300 electric outboard system. Real-world testing in Poland’s Mazury Lake District confirmed significant efficiency gains and quiet operation, with the WAVE 70+ setup keeping cabin noise below 50 dB during cruising conditions. The platform demonstrated up to 17 hours of continuous navigation at lower speeds, offering a proven, zero-emission reference case for the European leisure boating and houseboat markets.
