Raymarine: Release of the CAM400 compact marine IP camera

Teledyne Raymarine has introduced the CAM400, a compact fixed-mount IP camera designed for direct integration with Axiom series chartplotters. The system provides high-definition visual monitoring for docking, side decks, engine spaces, and helm blind spots, transmitting video over a standard RayNet network connection. Plotters running LightHouse 4 or LightHouse 5 software (version 4.11.133 or later) can process the live feed and support inverted or flipped mounting orientations.

Connecting an optional AR200 sensor via the SeaTalk NG network enables ClearCruise Augmented Reality functionality. This adds live navigation overlays, AIS targets, and customizable distance guide lines directly onto the video feed. Encased in an IPX6/IPX7 waterproof housing, the camera runs on Power over Ethernet or a 12-volt DC supply with a maximum power draw of five watts when the infrared LEDs are engaged.

  • Resolution: 1,920 × 1,080 pixels (Full HD, 1–30 fps)
