Vision Marine Technologies has partnered with Avikus to integrate NEUBOAT operator-assist technology with Vision Marine’s twin-motor E-Motion high-voltage electric propulsion architecture. Using a STERK 31E as the initial validation boat, the non-exclusive engineering initiative connects high-voltage electric drive units, helm controls, and intelligent navigation into a unified control platform. The joint development project is targeted for display at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, Florida.
The engineering framework covers system interfacing, dockside commissioning, and on-water testing to validate advanced control communication across twin outboard installations. Rather than operating as standalone electric engines, the integrated system links perception hardware directly with steering and propulsion controls. Upon successful validation, the combined architecture will be offered as an integrated option for OEM boatbuilders and future customer orders.
