Yamaha U.S. Marine Business Unit has introduced DockPoint Pontoon, an integrated control system that combines Helm Master EX joystick outboard control with Holland Marine Parts Jet Thruster technology. Engineered for single-outboard pontoon boats, the system coordinates the engine and thruster through a single joystick to enable lateral movement, 360-degree rotation, and low-speed positioning. Designed for OEM installation, the flush-mounted unit places the pump at the rear of the center pontoon and the thruster nozzles at the bow to minimize hydrodynamic drag and optimize weight distribution.
The system utilizes a 24-volt brushless motor system powered by two 12-volt batteries, featuring a built-in DC-to-DC charging controller that allows the outboard engine to recharge the system during operation. Preassembled for streamlined manufacturing, the package includes Joystick Hold functionality for low-speed cruising and carries a three-year limited warranty.
